GP Record Viewer (GPRV)

The GP Record Viewer is an additional module available within ProScript Connect. To place an order, please contact your Technology Development Manager (TDM)

The GP Record Viewer (GPRV) is part of the Pharmacy Access package and enables you to electronically access a read-only version of the patient’s electronic Health Record, including:

• the patient’s contact and demographic details
• the patient’s medication list, which includes a list of all the acute and repeat prescriptions previously dispensed to the patient, with the dosage information, quantity, and date at which the prescription was dispensed
• the patient’s allergies and adverse reactions to specific medication
• the patient’s monitoring and blood test results

Any abuse of access to the GPRV, which is fully audited, would invoke severe legal and professional consequences. By accessing this medical information, you are confirming that written patient consent has been obtained and the pharmacy complies to the principles of the Data Protection Act 1988 and has complete the latest HSCIC Information Governance Toolkit.
