new homepage dashboard has been developed to display all your to do jobs – scripts to be actioned, reminders, handover notes and any waiting clinical checks. Each user’s dashboard can be customised based on their current RBAC (Role-based access control) and the Application Settings for the pharmacy.
The homepage dashboard is available (switched off by default) with v1.30.
Homepage access
Access to view the homepage and the widgets settings is controlled by a user’s settings.
From the main screen, click ProScript Connect, select Users Manager, then select the user to be edited and click F2 – Edit Selected User.
- On the Edit User screen, in the Permissions section, go to the Utilities options.
- Select Homepage.
- There are two options available to select as required:
- Access Homepage – gives this user the ability to view the homepage and widgets.
- Manage Widget – gives this user the ability to manage the widget options.
- Click F10 – Save.
- A reminder message is displayed. The newly edited user must re-login for the changes to take effect.
The homepage widget is switched off by default. To switch it on, click ProScript Connect, select Edit Application Settings, click Homepage, then tick Homepage Enabled.
The name visible at the top of the homepage will either be your first name or username.
Shortcuts available on the homepage dashboard:
- Manage widgets: only visible if you have access to the correct RBAC.
- What’s New: takes you to the What’s New release news page.
- Online Learning: takes you to the online training content on EMIS Now (requires a login).
Patient search
The Patient Search option on the homepage is connected to the Search Patient tab. By typing in the Patient Search bar on the homepage, any searches will automatically display in the existing search screen.
Widget cards
Each widget card on the homepage contains module information based on your pre-existing settings in ProScript Connect. These cards can be managed to personalise the dashboard, an contain the information currently available in Workflow Manager.
Where no current information is available, the option on the card will be greyed out.
Selecting an option from within a card will take you to the relevant screen within ProScript Connect, e.g. selecting Emergency Supply Overdue will take you to the Overdue Scripts screen with the relevant records visible.
Manage Widgets
To manage widget cards, you must have the Homepage RBAC added to your role profile with the Manage Widget option selected.
- Click Manage Widgets.
- On the Manage Widgets screen, select the relevant module options.
- Click Save.
Use the refresh button to sync individual cards with up-to-date information from the ProScript Connect modules, or press F5 to refresh the entire homepage.
Edit an individual widget
Each of the widget cards will contain information based on the pre-existing settings of ProScript Connect and the RBAC of the user. For example, in the case of Scripts, if the ETP option is not available for a user, then any ETP related scripts will not appear in the Scripts widget card.
- Click the settings icon on the relevant card.
- On the Manage Widget screen, select the relevant items to be shown.
- Click Save.
Reminders
The Reminders widget card allows you to view reminders from the Reminders Manager using the following date filters:
- Today
- Tomorrow
- Week
Selecting a reminder will take you to the relevant page on the Reminders Manager screen.
You can add a new reminder by selecting the Add icon. Alternatively, if a new reminder is added from the Reminders Manager screen, refresh the widget card to update the information.
Handover notes
If you need to add a note for the next user, you can do so using the Handover widget card.
Enter the note in the free-text field, then click Save.
The last handover note will be visible to the logged in user, with the date and name of the user who sent it.
The note will also be visible in the Handover Note section of Workflow Manager.
Awaiting Clinical Check
Depending on the settings for the Hub Queue Manager module, e.g. the central fulfilment type is set to Golden Tote, the widget card will display with that name and the number of dispensed items awaiting clinical check within the hub manager.
