The Monitored Dosage System (also known as MDS) acts as a central repository for patients relying on a weekly monitored dosage system box to take their treatment. This treatment is usually spread across one week (seven days) or multiples of seven, such as fourteen or twenty-eight days.

Adding Patients to MDS
Prior to dispensing MDS prescriptions, you first need to add new nursing homes, to which you can then add the relevant ProScript Connect patients.
Adding Patients to a Community Home
Alternatively, if MDS ProScript Connect patients are well enough to live at home but still rely on monitored dosages system boxes and MAR charts for their treatments, you can add them as a Community Care patients.
Dispensing MDS Prescriptions
Once you have set up your MDS nursing home and patients, you can start dispensing MDS prescriptions.
Printing MDS Charts
Once you have dispensed MDS prescriptions, you can print the MDS charts, which include MAR charts, blank MAR charts, backing sheets, picking lists and consolidated picking lists. You can also print MDS patients lists.
