Medicines Use Review (MUR)
The Medicines Use Review (or MUR) enables patients to discuss their understanding and risks associated to their treatment with an accredited pharmacist. The MUR is also available in Wales and Northern Ireland.
The MUR enables you to review all medicines to see if there is any overlapping or interactions, provide extra information on what medicines are for, discuss side effects of medicines and identify problems associated with medicines.
New Medicines Service (NMS)
The New Medicines Service (or NMS) provides support for people with long-term conditions newly prescribed a medicine to help improve medicines adherence; it is initially focused on particular patient groups and conditions.
Electronic Prescription Service Release 2
The Electronic Prescription Service Release 2 (commonly known as EPSR2 on ProScript Connect) is the ETP system for England. The module enables prescriptions to be sent electronically from the GP practice to the pharmacy and then on to the Pricing Authority for payment.
Patient Nomination & Downloading Prescriptions – Stage 1
Once you have logged in with your Smartcard, the first stage in the process is to nominate patients to your pharmacy. When you have successfully nominated patients to your pharmacy, you can start downloading their prescriptions from the NHS Spine.
Dispensing Prescriptions – Stage 2
Once you have downloaded prescriptions from the NHS Spine, you can start dispensing the prescriptions. ProScript Connect caters for both RMS and MDS integration.
Sending Dispense Notifications- Stage 3
We recommend you send dispense notifications after the patient has collected their medication.
Sending Claims and Reclaims- Stage 4
We recommend you send claims immediately after you have sent dispense notifications.
